Night shift
Your hours changed. Your routine is still organised around two words: morning and night.
Every product says 'morning and night'. That instruction assumes you leave in the morning, come home at night, and sleep in between. On nights, all three are displaced.
The problem isn't that you're skipping something. It's that 'morning' and 'night' no longer mean what the label thinks they mean.
'Morning' in a routine actually means the round before you face the environment — light, able to evaporate, protective.
'Night' actually means the round before a long stretch of rest — richer, more occlusive, repairing.
So if you finish at eight in the morning and sleep until five in the afternoon, your 'night' round happens at 8am and your 'morning' round at 5pm. Follow the clock instead and you run both rounds backwards.
The instructions assume you live a daytime life.
You don't. Swap the two words; the routine itself can stay.
